Tips for Decorating your “Light up the night or Starry

                Night " Wedding Reception Theme

                                    

You are having a Wedding? Themes? (“Stars of Wonder”, ”Starry Night or” “This is the Night”) When you think of night, stars immediately come to mind. Here are a few decorating ideas on how to create a majestic Star Theme!

 

ENTRY:

 

·         Our  kissing balls  ( with your color and style balls) hanging on hooks on both sides of the pathway (Add mini lights to illuminate).

·         Rent our lighted arch(local customers only) and drape ice-blue shimmer fabric(tulle) around the arch, attach some small stars or flowers in your choice color (Which again you can buy or make) and “VOLIA” or we will be happy to rent you a balloon wedding arch (local customers only).

·         Add  balloon bouquets (an assortment of choice color balloons in a bunch) on each side of the pathway or use our balloon columns.  Your choice.

 

 

RECEPTION:

          Any one of our many custom design  or do it yourself centerpieces or even our kissing balls in a vase or by itself or even as a topiary will enhance your tables. Our centerpieces are very budget friendly and we can make them using your choice colors.  You can  place them on our rented mirrors (local customers only) and sprinkle with confetti stars.

 

·         Spray tree branches(From your Thrift store or your backyard) white or silver and use crystals or iridescent tulle to decorate (which you can buy from us), string mini lights or just leave bare, place in a container (Decorate with your color theme paper) add sand and place strategically around your reception area. 

·         Hang at varying lengths large blue, silver and white foil stars (or your color choice) or use paper lanterns in white, silver & soft blue or blue or silver stars to create a nice effect.

·         White or blue tulle fabric(which you can buy from us) with twinkling lights will make an awesome backdrop for your head table or cake table .Your choice.

·         Blue, silver and white( again these would be in your choice colors) helium filled balloons around the dance floor.

 

FOOD & DRINKS:

    Think warm! Provide hot chocolate, cider and rum. It’s up to you to offer a full meal or appetizers. Mini quiches, cheese and crackers or a variety of fondues will do the trick.

 These are just a few ideas, but you can also go with clear crystal, silver & white or ice blue, midnight blue, teal & green or jewel tones of Rudy red, sapphire & emerald. Be bold, use your imagination and let your wedding be the most memorable!

          HOW TO DECORATE FOR YOUR HALLOWEEN PIRATE PARTY

 

So you have the general idea of hosting an adult pirate party, but need a little guidance to bring it all together? Maybe you are a little short on ideas?

 

Well let’s start with you’re:

INVITATIONS: You can design your own! You can make a treasure chest, a treasure map, pirates ship or pirates hat. Use sea-shells or small pirate flags  to decorate or just make the invitations look weathered by staining with coffee or tea or burning the edges. Pirate “Lingo” is a must on your invitations. “Ahoy Matey, we havin a party” (Remember pirates were not the best spellers). Inform your guest to dress up as pirates and wenches (If they don’t, make them “Walk the Plank”)

 

 

DECORATIONS: Transform your home into a deserted beach (using the wall murals from the party store)with buried treasures or Pirate’s Island Hideaway. Decorate using Pirate Party balloons, fishnets, jumbo shells,, parrots, a jumbo pirate ship, and dueling pirate/bandits. Add smaller pirate ships to your ocean wall, tropical island props, and cannon ball explosions  to get the effect, if you have a wooden barrel add this to you room, anchors, a giant size skeleton or two and a treasure chest overflowing with booty of  jewels and gems. Use hibiscus or other tropical flowers and greenery and hang from the netting. (Imagine what a great backdrop this will make for your photos).

 

Use Decorative Pirate Signs to label your entrances. Place “Beware of Pirates” at your front entrance. “Davey Jones Locker” at the bathroom entrance. “No Land Lovers Allowed” at your kitchen entrance; and so on.(Again these can be bought at your local party store)

 

GRUB IN THE GALLEY: On your buffet table use one of our Pirate Theme Centerpieces to add flair Decorate with our Pirate Ship or Parrot with Crossbones flag . These can also be used for your guest table centerpieces or we can custom make something for you. Serve fresh fruits in large wooden bowls and lots of sea foods. Make fruit-punch (For non-drinkers) and mix a lot of rum cocktails (Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum). Use tin-mugs for the drinks. You can label your foods for fun “Dead Men’s Fingers”  “Cannon Balls” “Parrots Wings”

 

ACTIVITIES: “Walk the Plank” sign can be place wherever you are going to play this game. Play “Adult Treasure Quest” (Stain your treasure maps and write clues on parchment paper and hide them around) or “Spin the Bottle” .Give prizes to the sexiest wench costume. Make it adult prizes such as edible oils and cream. (Oh la-la)

 

FAVORS: At the end of the night, give each guest a “Bar of Gold”. This could be a candy bar wrapped in gold foil or a golden box (in the shape of bar of gold) full of “naughty” goodies.

 

You can adjust these ideas to suit your circumstances, making it uniquely yours; but remember you are the Captain and the party is your ship! Make sure you keep enthusiasms high! Let your Pirate Party be the talk of the town!

      HOW TO DECORATE FOR YOUR CASINO ROYALE  PARTY

 

You are planning a “Blowout Bash” for Your Birthday or Anniversary and you want it to be unforgettable. Here are some ideas for a very successful party:

 

INVITATIONS: You can buy or make these.

·                     Type your invitation on self stick paper (available at office supply stores) and mount it on the back of a regular pack of playing cards.

·                     Use card stock to make you invitations, with images of James Bond, The Gambler or Play Money.  Add a poker chip or two or dice to decorate.

·                     Your invitations should say black tie affair or black tie optional or dress formally in glamorous Monte Carlo style complete with top hat and boas or as your favorite Bond girl or a villain.

·                     Add casino confetti to your envelope for drama and when you seal your envelopes stamp or place a sticker across the back flap with “TOP SECRET” (Oh how exciting!)

 

DECORATIONS:

·                     Place Jumbo Casino in lights sign ( these can be bought at any party store) on the outside of your entrance

·                     Use twinkle lights to highlight this sign and any other area.

·                     A red & black balloon arch should grace your entrance (which we will gladly make and rent to you, local customers only) or flank the doorway with casino balloon bouquets.

·                     Set the scene with some colorful scene setters, such as our Black-tie ballroom floor backdrop or Slot Machine & Neon Lights backdrop or Starry Night backdrop. Add special jumbo jeweled-decorated playing cards and Roulette & Poker Tables Casino Props to transform the place into Sin City “Vegas-Inspired Blowout Party”( these can be bought at any party store).

·                     Scatter around the party area Sequin-decorated Casino Signs “Poker”, “Blackjack”, “Craps”’ “Roulette”, & “Texas Hold’em”.

·                     Add glitz & glitter to your tables with any of our casino centerpieces,or we can custom make something for you   place them on white linen table cloth topped with alternating red and black square cloth and sprinkle with casino confetti or gold coins & poker chips or purchase a roll of play coins and stick these in variation on your white table cloth. Use Casino Bandanas as napkins, tied with diced beads.

·                     Rent our jumbo dice prop, incorporate this with the backdrops and balloons to take souvenir photos.

·                     Set a decorative table at your entrance with all the party favors:coins, dice etc as your guest enter, greet them and let them know to help themselves or you can just place a sign.

·                     Create a lounge for music and dancing. Keep the lights soft and put on some Sammy, Dino, Sinatra and Celine Dion.

 

FOOD & DRINK:

 

·                     Las Vegas is a city of exquisite cuisine and amazing alcoholic beverages. The menu is really up to you, you can have a sit down dinner or a buffet.

·                     If it’s a sit down dinner, go with white china; a buffet, use all Casino Party paper goods to coordinate with your theme.

·                     Add fun signage to your foods. “Gold Finger Foods” “Dr. No Double Dipping” “Shaken Not Stirred Martini Bar”

·                     Go with a devilish decadent dessert like “Chocolate Soufflé”

·                     Make Drinks like “Velvet Elvis”, “White Sangria”, and “Raspberry Mojito” or use “James Bond Vesper Martini” (3 measure of Gin, 1 measure of Vodka, ½ measure of Dry Vermouth-Shake well until ice cold and serve in a champagne goblet or martini glass with a thin slice of lemon peel.) Make this your signature drink!

 

ACTITITIES:

·                     Give a mini playing card to each guest (You can make it like a name tag) and challenge guest to present themselves in a group to show a winning poker hand for a prize.

·                     If money is not a problem, add a little sizzle to your Casino Royale Party by hiring fabulous show girls dressed in costumes for an hour or two. (Check your local modeling agencies)

 

Take lots of photos. With the booze flowing and the party swinging, you can bet your guest will have a time of their lives!
